Trailbase Lodge, Sierra Nevada winter trip

We had a few odd's and end's to tie up in Spain so headed over to our place for a brief visit. After a very frustrating day in Granada (they love their red tape in Spain!) we had a few days at our lodge. We had some classic mountain weather with some nice sunshine, torrential rain, and finishing up with almost a foot of snow!

We also found a new track on the ridge opposite which the wild boar have forged to get down to the river. It makes for a good little hiking trail, albeit with a big stick in hand just in case! It led to a little crag with a nice view back to our place. A good spot for a little impromptu bouldering.

Then on the last couple of days it started snowing and we ended up with about 10 inches making it look amazing everywhere. It also added a little adventure to the proceedings with iced up locks, dicey tracks, and almost getting the Landy stuck. All ended well though and as usual it was tough having to come back to dreary old Blighty. Now how soon are we back over....?

Also managed to film some of the snow with my new ipod nano which I thought wouldn't be all that but was rather pleasantly surprised.

The next trip just can't come quick enough!!!!
